Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 22, 2026

The Woods Civic Action Club, a student club sponsored by Woods Charter School, operates The Woods Electronic Drive website at woodsdrive.org. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors to the website, how that information is used, and how it is stored.

1. Information We Collect

The Woods Electronic Drive website is primarily an informational website. We do not currently provide visitor registration, contact forms, newsletter subscriptions, online donation processing, or other features that require visitors to submit personal information.

When you visit our website, however, your IP address may be automatically recorded in our website server logs.

Our website is self-hosted using NGINX and is accessed through Cloudflare services, including Cloudflare Tunnel. As part of operating and monitoring the website, these services may process information associated with visitors' requests.

    2. How We Use IP Addresses

We collect and retain IP addresses primarily for:

• Measuring website traffic and usage

• Monitoring website performance

• Maintaining and operating our website and server

• Understanding general patterns of website visits

We do not use IP addresses to create individual visitor profiles, serve targeted advertising, or intentionally identify individual visitors.

    3. How Long We Keep IP Addresses

IP addresses recorded in our NGINX server logs are retained indefinitely.

Because server logs may contain information about individual website requests, they may remain stored on our self-hosted server for an indefinite period.

    4. Information We Do Not Collect Directly

The website does not currently ask visitors to provide:

• Names

• Email addresses

• Phone numbers

• Mailing addresses

• Payment information

• Account credentials

• Volunteer registration information

• Donation information

If you voluntarily contact us by email, the information contained in that communication may be received and retained as necessary to respond to your request. Email communications are subject to the privacy practices of the email service being used.

    5. Cookies and Analytics

The website does not currently require visitors to create accounts or submit personal information.

We may use services provided through Cloudflare's free-tier offerings to operate, secure, monitor, or measure traffic to the website. These services may process technical information associated with website requests.

We do not currently use the website to serve personalized advertisements or build advertising profiles based on visitors' activity.

    6. Cloudflare

Our website uses Cloudflare services, including Cloudflare Tunnel, to connect our self-hosted server to the internet and help operate the website.

Cloudflare may process technical information associated with requests to our website. Cloudflare's collection and processing of information is also governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policies and terms.

Visitors who would like more information about how Cloudflare handles information should review Cloudflare's current privacy documentation.

    7. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to websites operated by other organizations, including Kramden Institute, Woods Charter School, and other community organizations.

When you follow a link to another website, you are subject to that website's privacy policy and data practices. The Woods Civic Action Club does not control how third-party websites collect or use information.

    8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information stored on our website server. However, no method of storing or transmitting information over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Because the website is self-hosted, access to server logs is limited to individuals responsible for operating and maintaining the website.

    9. Children's Privacy

The Woods Electronic Drive website is intended for the general public and is not directed specifically toward adults.

The website does not knowingly request or require children to provide personal information. We do not operate accounts, registration forms, or other features designed to collect personal information from children.

    10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the website's features, data practices, or services change.

When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this policy. Visitors are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically for the most current information.
